This was actually my first gel blaster. Heard about them of course but walked into my first shop only a week ago.
As an ex-army guy my eyes were immediately drawn to it. Colouring of the body and receiver group/barrel is a very close approximation, only thing that threw me off was the sling swivels are bare metal. The magazines aren't the see through tupperware that was around when I was serving, so not sure how accurate that is these days.
Scale wise it's pretty spot on, though actually weighs more (at least to my memory) than the real steel version. (even with a full mag)
Break down is surprisingly similar to the real version for the receiver group, even the bolt group looks similar. The barrel can be removed same as the original,, just found it far more difficult than what I expected. Also the front folding grip is no where as tough, so if your ex-military you may want to be a little more gentle with it than you are used to.
Be nice if a carbine barrel was ever released.
And no, in case you are wondering, your bayonet wont attach... I just know okay, don't ask stupid questions.
Overall I'm very impressed and glad this was my introduction to the gel blaster hobby. Highly recommended!
