The AK-74 STS - 3 models!!! 🤩

This week Lee reviews the three different models available for the AK-74 from STS. He goes into detail with all of them and compares them! We look at the: 74MS, AK105, & the AK74S. You can find these blasters in one of our 17 stores now! 

SO WHAT DO WE NEED TO KNOW?

You need to put on the rear buttstock and the rear upper receiver yourself! You'll receive eye protection & gels with all of these blasters. You have to assemble your blow back assembly.

Starting with the 74MS:

SO WHAT DO WE RATE THEM? 

LOOKS

Starting again with the 74MS: looks-wise - it is nice and slim as well as realistic looking! As this is the longer version we give this one a 7/10. It does also have the folding stock to get it shorter if you'd like! 

AK105: This is our favourite! We do love the shorter style in the AK variant. This one is 10/10 for us. When you fold the stock around it is very short! 

AK74S: Despite this one having the woodgrain, and is longer, we give this one a 9/10. The woodgrain makes it look very similar to the steel version, just has the length on the front! 

FIREPOWER

As these blasters run on the same batteries, have the same gearbox, and the same gear set we will rate them as one. We give them a 7/10! They do range from 240 FPS upwards to 260 on a 7.4 volt battery. Fire rate is around 10-12 RPS. To see how they shoot through the chrono watch Lee's video from 7:20.

MODABILITY

With the V3 setups you can modify them, though we'd recommend they're at more of a moderate level. As they're nylon gearbox's can flex if you put too much stress on them. If you get these blasters to sit around the 300-330 FPS using M90-M105 spring - that's perfect for these blasters. You can upgrade you motors too! We rate them 7/10. You can't go too crazy with them but you can still do a few things to them. 

DURABILITY

They are very solid construction with steel outer barrels and proper solid nylon construction throughout the rest of the blaster, ABS solid magazine. We rate this one 10/10. Unless you do the wrong thing and act careless with them then they will fail. Using them correctly will ensure they last you a very long time. 

FOR WHERE & WHO?

These are perfect for your entry-level right up to your medium-level of blaster enthusiasts. You do have the different options for the length of them if you're looking to do CQB or outdoor field you can chose what you'd like. It is great for both options. Anyone who is keen to get out and have a go - this is the blaster you're looking for! As they have metal gears, they are a bit better than other blasters available so they are a great option for a first buyer or intermediate blaster enthusiast.
