Narrow containers, such as soft drink bottles,\u003cbr\u003ecan lead to deformities due to pressure from the gels at the top of your grow batch\u003cbr\u003eweighing down on the gels at the bottom of your bottle during the grow. A large bucket or\u003cbr\u003esealable deep-dish tray is perfect.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTIPS\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOnce gels are removed from water, don’t dry them out completely. A quick shake off in a\u003cbr\u003esieve is fine. It is ok for your gels to be a little bit wet for the purpose of lubrication.\u003cbr\u003eOnce you have finished a gel ball session, it is recommended that you store your gels in\u003cbr\u003ewater, within a sealed container. If left out of water for 1 hour or longer, the gels can start\u003cbr\u003eto shrink which will affect size consistency and shape. If the gels are left out of water for\u003cbr\u003etoo long, this will affect accuracy and feeding.\u003cbr\u003eDon’t freeze your gels. This will not make them harder but will instead cause them to\u003cbr\u003ebecome more brittle.\u003cbr\u003eUltra Elite V2 gel balls can be left in water for up to 3 weeks, maintaining shape, strength\u003cbr\u003eand consistency. *They can potentially be stored in water for longer, however this has not\u003cbr\u003eyet been tested.\u003cbr\u003eWater supply can affect your grow. It is strongly recommended that you utilise the\u003cbr\u003ecleanest water available to you. Avoid storm water. Clean tap water, bottled water or\u003cbr\u003edistilled water is fine. Using any chemical or liquid other than water to grow your gel balls\u003cbr\u003ewill be at your own risk and is not recommended.\u003cbr\u003eFor best results, grow your gels in distilled water, chilled (in your refrigerator – not\u003cbr\u003efreezer) within a sealed container. Chilled water will typically lead to a longer grow time,\u003cbr\u003ebut results in more consistent and stronger gels.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf using an electronic gel sorter, please note: these devices generally need to be tuned to\u003cbr\u003eensure the resulting assortment is accurate.
